Blue Bell Wood Pictures is site dedicated to developing the historical fiction of author Barry Redmond, for book and screen.

Barry Redmond is an historical fiction author based in Co. Wexford, Ireland.  Originally from Wexford, he has two published novels Bayonets & Lace and The Wreck Wind. Bayonets & Lace is the opening novel in a series of novels he is currently undertaking, spanning three centuries, from the late 18th to the early 20th, which narrate the lives of three great Irish families throughout this tumultuous period.  Bayonets & Lace is a forbidden love story set during the build up to the fateful and bloody summer of 1798 in southeast Ireland. We follow James de Lacey and Kitty Foldsworth, two characters from radically different social backgrounds as they fall hopelessly in love during this radical period, which results in the 1798 rebellion, a viscious and bloody chapter in Irish history.  Barry lives beneath Croghan Kinsella mountain in the heartlands of the 1798 rebellion.  Here he dramatises and brings to life this epic history for his readers.  He is currently developing his work for the big screen.
